Today (Tuesday 28th January) is Data Privacy Day, so what better day to launch MSite’s newest feature – Two Factor Authentication!
Two Factor Authentication (2FA) can be used to provide an extra layer of security for MSite accounts, designed to further ensure your account security, even if someone knows your password.
The new feature, which will be available to customers upon request, will allow you to utilise two factor authentication for additional user account protection when signing in to MSite. In addition to entering a password, after enabling 2FA the user has to go through one more step to log in successfully, entering a one-time code generated by an authenticator phone app.
Two-factor authentication will further improve the security of MSite dashboard log-ins, keeping your company’s data even more safe and secure.
Jon Busby is our Senior On-Boarding Manager and takes on the MSite Data Protection Officer role as part of his remit. Jon says: “Our customers’ log in mechanisms have always required a secure password, as the safekeeping of data is a priority for MSite. The roll-out of Two Factor Authentication means we can now offer an additional security layer for those customers who are keen to go above and beyond in the safe-guarding of their workforce data. We are expecting it to be a popular new feature for MSite.”
