Solving the airport to airport data sharing challenge

Aviation stakeholders are turning to technology to alleviate the pressures of the global capacity crisis. But for these solutions to be truly effective, the next step is agreeing standards and methods for effective data sharing between airports and airlines.

Transit passengers at hub airports make up a huge volume of total air traffic. By leveraging technological capabilities, information sharing will enable pre-approved passengers to fast-track through their journey, passing from the departure airport to the arrival airport as securely and seamlessly as possible.

At the end of 2017, Human Recognition Systems successfully conducted the first information sharing trial between Gatwick and Dubai Airports using MFlow, demonstrating the efficiencies that can be made for airports, airlines and, most importantly, passengers.
