As concerns are growing around the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), we at MSite wanted to reassure you about the day-to-day use of our MSite Touch devices.
Using an MSite Touch device is in no way any different to touching any other communal object, from a door handle or turnstile to a shopping trolley, handrail or toilet flusher.
It is virtually impossible to avoid contact with the many everyday communal objects we come across in our daily lives; but there are measures that can be taken to help reduce the chance of catching or spreading the virus.
The symptoms are similar to other illnesses that are much more common, such as cold and flu.The NHS has an online service for those who are concerned that they may have coronavirus, available here. In the event that any of your workforce does contract coronavirus, NHS advice on self-isolation can be found here.
Government advice reminds us that generally, coronavirus can cause more severe symptoms in people with weakened immune systems, older people, and those with long-term conditions like diabetes, cancer and chronic lung disease.
Finally, MSite Touch has many safety enhancing features that help to make sites safer: from training verification and supervisor to worker ratios to first-aiders on-site and the all-important Roll Call functionality in the event of a site evacuation. MSite is designed with workforce safety front of mind, which is why so many sites use the system.
We hope that this email provides reassurance for you and your workforce.
